KCRC Eye Hospital Bhuj

Established in 2008, the KCRC Eye Hospital in Bhuj, Kutchh, operates under the management of the Blind People’s Association (BPA). The hospital has become a cornerstone of eye care services in the Kutchh district and neighboring regions. It was envisioned to provide accessible and affordable eye care to underserved rural and semi-urban populations.
Over the years, the hospital has earned recognition as a center of excellence for ophthalmic care, offering cataract, glaucoma, and general eye surgeries. It also serves as a referral center, directing patients requiring retina, cornea, and other advanced eye treatments to BPA Porecha Eye Hospital in Bareja.
In addition to clinical services, the hospital plays a pivotal role in community eye care, school screening programs, truckers’ eye health initiatives, low vision rehabilitation, and empowerment programs for persons with visual impairment, making it a comprehensive hub for both treatment and rehabilitation.
